The 91st Birthday Celebration of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Mumbai.

On 6th July Menlhai Jamtse Ling joyfully celebrated the auspicious occasion of the 91st Birthday of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Mumbai.

The celebration began with the ceremonial welcome and enthronement of the portrait of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, followed by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a mandala offering. All attendees then offered khatas (ceremonial scarves) to the portrait of His Holiness as a symbol of respect, devotion, and heartfelt prayers.

The program included a brief introduction to the life and inspiring biography of His Holiness, followed by presentations on his extraordinary contributions to world peace, compassion, interfaith harmony, universal human values, and the preservation of Tibetan culture and Buddhism.

Additionally, we offered special prayers in solidarity with Lobga Rangzen la, who recently self-immolated in front of the United Nations in New York. We dedicated our prayers for him and for peace, compassion, and the well-being of all beings.

The celebration brought together members and friends of Menlhai Jamtse Ling, along with Tibetan people living in Mumbai, who gathered with devotion and joy to honor this special occasion. The program concluded with a joyful cake-cutting ceremony, followed by everyone sharing lunch together in a spirit of friendship and harmony.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all the speakers:
